You may feel like you are in Provence, France when you look at this idyllic scene of lavender fields and olive trees located at the Highland Springs Resort in California. I know I did. You can almost sense the warm air and the breathe in the scent of lavender as a relaxing calm envelops you while viewing this original oil painting.
About Sandy Fisher
As a child I was always surrounded by intriguing colorful layouts, eye catching compositions, and the smell of paint. My father, a teacher of sign painting for over 25 years, inspired my creativity and imagination at a very young age. My pastimes then involved many forms of art including drawing, painting, scratchboard, wood burning, macramé, needlework, stained glass, and photography. I developed a natural eye for composition, which I apply to my photography and to my current endeavor of painting with watercolor and oil. I truly believe that a great photograph begins with the ability to "see" beyond the norm into the infinite beauty and mystery of the subject matter.
