The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
The permanence of the rock formations and the interesting back and forth of the angles created by the movement of the earth over time is what caught my eye while on a painting trip to Snow Canyon in Utah. The play of light and all the colors in what would otherwise go unnoticed by most others is what also drew me in.
About Sandy Fisher
As a child I was always surrounded by intriguing colorful layouts, eye catching compositions, and the smell of paint. My father, a teacher of sign painting for over 25 years, inspired my creativity and imagination at a very young age. My pastimes then involved many forms of art including drawing, painting, scratchboard, wood burning, macramé, needlework, stained glass, and photography. I developed a natural eye for composition, which I apply to my photography and to my current endeavor of painting with watercolor and oil.
