When spring comes to the high desert in Vasquez Canyon, one is taken by the carpet of golden yellow flowers and the purple of the sagebrush, which contrasts so perfectly with the warm browns of the rocks.
About Sandy Fisher
As a child I was always surrounded by intriguing colorful layouts, eye catching compositions, and the smell of paint. My father, a teacher of sign painting for over 25 years, inspired my creativity and imagination at a very young age. My pastimes then involved many forms of art including drawing, painting, scratchboard, wood burning, macramé, needlework, stained glass, and photography. I developed a natural eye for composition, which I apply to my photography and to my current endeavor of painting with watercolor and oil. I truly believe that a great photograph begins with the ability to "see" beyond the norm into the infinite beauty and mystery of the subject matter.
